Kiryl Apanasevich is office managing partner in the Belarus office of law firm SORAINEN.

Kiryl is a head of the SORAINEN transaction service line in its Belarus office which consists of Real Estate & Construction, M&A and Private Equity and Banking & Finance Teams.

Kiryl is experienced in advising clients on large-scale, country-wide real estate transactions, development and construction projects, representing both sellers and purchasers, developers and investors. He also provides legal support to clients in numerous complex mergers & acquisitions transactions and asset deals, and advises on legal aspects of financing investment projects. His vast academic background in law and business administration enables him to find non-trivial, business-oriented solutions for clients in the most complex cases.

The SORAINEN Real Estate Practice has in recent years been constantly ranked very high by all major legal directories, such as The Legal 500 (commending the “international focus and experience of the lawyers enabling the firm to provide the quality of service expected from big international firms”) and Chambers Europe (“wonderfully experienced and always up to date, with a broad knowledge of the market”).

SORAINEN Real Estate & Construction Sector Group advises international and local real estate investors and funds, developers, construction companies, real estate brokers and consultants, design, construction, property management companies and real estate project financiers in the Baltics and Belarus. SORAINEN assists in all types of transaction: buying, selling, letting, financing, developing or operating, designing and construction, territory planning, development of infrastructure.

Most recently SORAINEN Belarus advised Idea Bank on its acquisition of a business centre Azimut. This transaction is one of the most notable acquisitions completed in the Belarusian real estate market in 2014. The SORAINEN team headed by partner Kiryl Apanasevich assisted the client with legal due diligence, preparation of transaction documents and regulatory matters.

SORAINEN also advised Dana Holdings, a leading international, fully integrated real estate, investment, and development group of companies, in connection with implementation of the landmark Minsk World development project in the Belarusian capital, Minsk. To date, this is the largest project of its kind, regulated by special decree of the President of Belarus and aimed at redevelopment of the Minsk-1 city airport area (approximately 300 hectares). The SORAINEN team, headed by partners Kiryl Apanasevich and Maksim Salahub, has been advising the client in connection with drafting, negotiating, and concluding the investment agreement with the Republic of Belarus represented by the Minsk City government, encompassing major privileges and guarantees granted to the investor, project commercial parameters, liability issues and proper distribution of rights and obligations between the investor and various state authorities of Belarus.

Kiryl has been practicing law since 2002. He is one of the partners responsible for establishing and developing the SORAINEN office in Belarus from the very first days of its operations to now being recognized as one of leading law firms in Belarus. Prior to joining SORAINEN in 2008 Kiryl practiced law for nearly six years in the oldest domestic law firm in Belarus.
