Billy Chan graduated at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne with a B.Eng.degree, and at the University of Warwick with a MBA. Thereafter he joined James & Cowper, Chartered Accountants, in England, U.K. and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1992. He returned to Hong Kong in 1993 and joined a firm of certified public accountants as Audit Manager. In 1995, he started Billy Chan & Co., Chartered Accountants, Certified Public Accountants, now called Alpha Partners, Certified Public Accountants.
