Students from City Law School LLM are in with a chance at an internship with US firm McDermott Will & Emery.
Students interested in international litigation may have the opportunity to work with international arbitration lawyers in McDermott’s Frankurt office for three months and will have access to numerous cross-border arbitration cases.
Alan Riley, director of the LLM programme, said: “We’re trying to provide students with competitive, paid internships. The cases students might come across will be broad international arbitration; whether it’s energy or investment disputes or other multi-billion dollar cases.”
The internship is available for students specialising in international arbitration, public international law, international energy litigation, world trade law and admiralty law. A group of students with the highest coursework scores will be selected for interview by a McDermott team in March, which will then select one student.
The internship, funded by the firm, will run from May to July.
