Walker Morris has appointed James Powell as a consultant in its sports team, who previously a commercial director at Everton Football Club
Powell has experience advising on a range of sports-related issues, such as commercial partnerships and sponsorship, marketing and IP. As well as a stint at Everton as commercial director, Powell has worked with football clubs including Manchester City, Wigan Athletic, West Ham United, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers.
Until 2004 Powell was a partner at Weightman Vizards (now Weightmans). He and fellow Weightmans lawyers Mark Forman and Neil Kelly split off to set up commercial boutique PFK Legal. Powell moved to Everton in 2006.
