David Gold has joined Proven’s board as its chairman.
David Gold has joined Matrix Chambers’ Ken Macdonald QC and Peter Bevan, who was the former general counsel of BP, on the board of Proven.
The company provides support to litigation teams on complex cases including cross-border fraud, corruption and money laundering, giving support in investigation, e-discovery and compliance issues.
The role is the latest non-executive position for Gold, who set up as a strategic litigation consultant when he left Herbert Smith in 2011. The litigator, who became a peer in 2010, has taken on jobs including carrying out a corporate governance review for Rolls-Royce.
Gold said in a statement that Proven’s focus on resolving disputes had attracted him to join the business.
Proven was set up in 2009 by former Slaughter and May senior partner Tim Clark and former SJ Berwin senior partner David Harrel. Clark is a senior adviser to Proven’s sister company, the Good Governance Group (G3).
