Asian Legal Business (ALB) has awarded DFDL the "Emerging Markets Law Firm of the Year 2013" award.
On the 17th May 2013 Asian Legal Business (ALB) held its Southeast Asia Law Awards 2013 ceremony in Singapore and presented DFDL with the award for "Emerging Markets Law Firm of the Year 2013".
The "Emerging Markets Law Firm of the Year" award specifically recognizes the firm’s achievements in the Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar markets.
DFDL was founded in Laos in 1994, and expanded to Cambodia and Myanmar in 1995, making them the first international law firm to have a presence in all three markets.
Winners in each category of the SE Asia Law Awards are selected by two external judging panels: a general panel of more than 40 in-house counsel and private practice lawyers and a special expertise panel for specific categories. Nominations are made by leading law firms throughout the region.
