David Cruickshank and Ross Nicol have been promoted to Maclay Murray & Spens’ partnership.
On the 1st June 2013 David Cruickshank and Ross Nicol were promoted to Scottish firm Maclay Murray & Spens’ partnership. Head of the renewable energy practice, Cruickshank, has joined the capital projects partnership, whilst Nicol, a life sciences lawyer, has become a partner in the IP and Technology team.
Cruickshank has been responsible for leading development in the renewables practice since he joined in 2010, having been a director with Barclays Capital as well as stints at Linklaters and Shearman & Sterling.
In March Maclays was bolstered by the hire of a seven partner team from Semple Fraser, which had appointed administrators.
The group was made up of six real estate specialists, including Semple Fraser’s managing partner Simon Etchells, and one corporate and renewable energy partner.
