Austrian firm CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati is expanding into the Czech Republic through an association with Kališ Opletal & Partners, based in Prague.
CHSH has several offices across the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, but this is the first time they have branched out into the Czech Republic.
Kališ Opletal & Partners was established in 2009 by a group of DLA Piper lawyers. It advises clients on M&A, company law, banking, project finance, real estate and litigation.
The association will take effect from 1 January 2013 and will have 10 lawyers working in the Czech Republic.
CHSH CEE partner Johannes Aehrenthal said the firm continued to believe in the potential of the CEE region and adding the Czech office filled a gap in the network.
Kališ Opletal & Partners partner Petr Kališ added that CHSH’s network would create new opportunities for the firm and its clients.
