On the 1st January 2013 Middletons combined with K&L Gates.
After the unanimous approval from partners at both K&L Gates LLP and Australian firm Middletons, the two firms have now combined.
In addition to extending K&L Gates’ global footprint to a fifth continent through its national coverage of Australia, the combination also positions K&L Gates as the largest U.S.-based firm in the Asia-Pacific region, bolstering the firm’s presence there to 400 lawyers across 11 offices. The combined firm includes more than 2,000 lawyers in 46 offices across North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Australia, where K&L Gates maintains offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Brisbane.
K&L Gates includes lawyers practicing out of 46 fully integrated offices located in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and the Middle East, and represents numerous GLOBAL 500, FORTUNE 100, and FTSE 100 corporations, in addition to growth and middle market companies, entrepreneurs, capital market participants and public sector entities.
