LUCIANO DAFFARRA is the founding partner of Daffarra, d'Addio & Partners.
Before entering into private practice, he was part of the legal offices of major multi-national and Italian corporations operating in the industrial and media fields.
As a counsel, he subsequently represented and currently represents many producers and artists active in all media sectors.
Since 1994 up to 2006, he has been the Secretary General of the Italian Federation Against Audio-Visual Piracy, currently keeping a consultancy agreement with the association of the U.S. Studios.
Has also been member of the “Permanent Consultative Committee for Copyright at the Italian Prime Minister’s Office”, and he is currently a Board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy.
In the above capacities, he has been collaborating with the Italian Governmental bodies dealing with the copyright legislation, and he has been dealing with the major problems relating to copyright and intellectual property in Italy, the European Union and the United States.
He is often invited to be a panellist in training courses, seminars and conferences concerning the issues of the intellectual property.
He is a founding member of the Italian organizations AGICA (Association of Cinema and Audio-Visual Lawyers) and of IPLAW (Association for Intellectual Property Rights and Competition).
He is also VP of LES (Licensing Executives Society) and a member of ALAI (Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale).
