Raphaël Collin is a founder of Collin Maréchal, a Luxembourg business law firm.

Raphaël was a founder of the Baker & McKenzie Luxembourg office in 2010. Before, Raphaël worked for several years in the Luxembourg office of Allen & Overy and was a partner of a top-ten Luxembourg law firm.

Raphaël has been practicing since 1997 in Luxembourg.

Raphaël has significant experience in advising clients on issues regarding mergers and acquisitions as well as international corporate reorganizations. He works with private equity funds on structuring their investments and advises on the setting up of joint ventures in Luxembourg and abroad.

Raphaël routinely assists domestic and foreign clients (regulated or not) on their real estate investments and transactions (asset and share deals) and the related financing. He regularly leads real estate deals from a transactional standpoint.

Raphaël also advises on all aspects of financing transactions from negotiation and documentation to closing. In this respect, Raphaël is frequently requested to issue legal opinions and assists on enforcement situations, workouts as well as on reorganisations.

In addition, Raphaël regularly assists regulated entities for their compliance with Luxembourg professional rules, their day-to-day management or for important transactions.

Raphaël holds a postgraduate degree in Financial Management from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce Saint-Louis of Brussels (Belgium), a law degree from the Université Catholique of Louvain (Belgium) and a law diploma from the Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis (Belgium).

Raphaël holds the Luxembourg diploma of the Cours Complémentaires en droit Luxembourgeois (CCDL).

Raphaël is the author of several publications on listing of securities on the Luxembourg stock exchange, on cross-border mergers and on European companies and on incorporating companies in Luxembourg.
