Marit Kirkhusmo has a long and broad experience as a lawyer within shipping, offshore and banking/financing. She assists various kinds of clients within these sectors, such as ship-owners, yards, banks and financial institutions, managers and vendors. In addition to a long practice as a lawyer, she has considerable commercial experience from a previous position as general counsel for a large group of stock-listed shipping companies. A more detailed description of her practice is set out below.

Marit Kirkhusmo has a long and broad experience as a lawyer within shipping, offshore and banking/financing. She assists clients with shipping – and offshore projects, including financing, sale and purchase and sale-leasebacks of ships and offshore installations, investment projects, construction and conversion, chartering and operation, registration and delivery of ships and offshore installations, and in connection with various contracts, such a s pool agreements, joint ventures and management agreements and contractual issues in general.

Marit is also experienced within export financing and is a member of the board of directors of GIEK- the Norwegian Export Credit Guarantee Agency.

Marit Kirkhusmo works in an international environment and the majority of her cases involve parties in other countries. She worked for a period of 6 months in London as a lawyer.
