Mr. Riccomagno became a graduate as J.D. in 1972 at the Catholic University in Milan. Then he obtained two diplomas in English Law at the City of London Polytechnic and in Comparative Law at the Columbia University – New York.
After the admission at the Italian Bar in 1974 he started his career in Milan with Pavia e Ansaldo and then with Ardito Law Firm. In the same years he was Research Fellow at the Department of Private International Law at the State University of Milan.
In 1983 he founded Riccomagno Law Firm in Genoa. On those years he started his commitments with the International Bar Association that culminated with his appointment as Council Member of the Section on Business Law (office that lasted from 1992 to 1996).
Under the academic profile Mr. Riccomagno has been Professor appointed in 2004 by the Faculty of Law of the University of Genoa and holder of a course of lectures on Contracts of Navigation. He lectured also on international contracts, law of transports, arbitration and ADR at several training courses and Master’s Programmes organized by the Universities of Milan and Genoa as well as by his Bar Council of Genoa and by the Academy of Law, Mediation and Arbitration.
Mr. Riccomagno also receives appointments as arbitrator in domestic and international (ICC) disputes.
He is presently accredited arbitrator with the China Maritime Arbitration Commission and with the Maritime Arbitration Court of Genoa. In 2012 the Italian Ministry of Justice appointed him as accredited mediator.
In October 2016 Riccomagno Law Firm merged with IT Insurance & Transport Consulting s.a.s., another law firm of Genoa specialized in Law of Transports and Insurance. The name of the new firm is MR International Lawyers.
