He is also recognized for his expertise in the customs valuation areas, and has been invited to speak publicly about this topic.

As a tax lawyer, Monchai Vachirayonstien provides multiple legal and tax services to his clients, e.g. drafting agreements for both commercial and tax purposes, tax planning, value creation, tax investigation assistance, and tax dispute assistance and resolution.

Monchai has extensive experience in the automotive sector, particularly manufacturers of cars and parts. Monchai examines each part of the manufacturing and trading supply chains to provide the appropriate tax advice, e.g. corporate income tax exemption and other treatments for manufacturers, including customs valuation, tariffs and duties, and interfaces with the relevant governmental agencies, as may be necessary.

Monchai Vachirayonstien assists local clients with their outbound investments in both Europe and Asia, e.g. hotel acquisitions, concessions for geo-thermal power, etc.

Monchai Vachirayonstien seasoned experience in tax related cross border transactions, e.g. customs valuation, drafting joint venture/shareholders agreements, technical assistance agreement, management agreements, and their concatenation with local regulations and internal rules, e.g. BEPS, MLI, etc. He also adept in overseeing merger and acquisitions, tax due diligence, entire business transfers, and amalgamation, among other large-scale transactions.
