Throughout his career, Adolphe Tyan has made his mark on the Lebanese Legal scene, influencing the legal doctrine and jurisprudence in Lebanon. He contributed to the drafting of many Lebanese laws, such as the Construction Law and the Common Property Law, and since then he has been an advisor at the Beirut Bar Association on Taxation Laws in Lebanon.

He has represented many clients before Lebanese Courts and the Council of State and Arbitration panels, in addition to acting as legal counsel for many clients in Lebanon and around the world such as England and France.

He was an arbitrator in several internal and international arbitration panels. On many occasions, he was chosen by the Beirut Bar Association to represent it, mainly before the Council of State.

He is fluent in Arabic, French and English.

Adolphe Tyan joined the Beirut Bar Association in 1971 and was named First Secretary Responsible of Training Conferences at the Beirut Bar Association in 1974.

He partnered with Hassan Awada in 1977, and together they renamed the firm Awada Tyan Law Firm. He has been the managing partner ever since.

From 1973 to 1978, Adolphe Tyan was the Secretary of the Consumer Protection Association.

Over the years, Adolphe Tyan has represented a broad spectrum of high-profile clients, including banks, financial institutions, telecommunications and media outlets, such as televisions and newspapers, petroleum companies, non-profit organizations, commercial companies, and international and local agencies.

At Awada Tyan Law Firm, we believe it is our responsibility to help those who are less fortunate, and we understand how valuable, necessary and sometimes costly legal advice can be. In an effort to give back to our community, we aim to give free access to legal advice when possible and we strive to dedicate a minimum of 15 per cent of our yearly work to such causes. Over the years, Adolphe Tyan has personally handled hundreds of Pro bono cases.
