Raymond Kok is Partner of Luther Shangai and specialises in Corporate/M&A, Compliance & Internal Investigations, and Complex Disputes. He has extensive expertise in the automotive and exhibition industries and is the go-to specialist in the area of German – Sino transactions.

Born and raised in Germany, Raymond Kok studied law at the University of Osnabrueck. He is admitted to the German Bar and holds a Master of Administrative Sciences degree of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer.

Raymond Kok has been working in the People's Republic of China for more than a decade.

He speaks German, English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Raymond Kok advises international SMEs and corporations from various industries on the whole spectrum of corporate law and has extensive experience in cross-border M&A transactions and Joint Ventures, providing added value through analytical expertise as well as precise and strategic recommendations. He has been particularly active in advising on cross-border corporate restructuring, compliance and cross-border audits and internal investigations, directors´ liability, as well as employment matters involving board members, managing directors and executives. In addition to dispute resolution, he also specializes in arbitration.
