Mr. Dickson has more than 20 years of experience. Among its principal clients are financial institutions, communication companies, construction companies, family business groups, and Public Administration entities. He is a national and international speaker and lecturer at various conferences and diploma courses on Administrative Law, Public Contracts and Regulatory Law.

Practice Description

DMAC Law is a firm located in the Dominican Republic, with two offices covering Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. The firm is focused on personalized legal services, willing to give an extraordinary service orientated in the client’s needs with innovations and diligence from their team.

Mr. Dickson has represented his clients in financial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuration of loans, as well as in the energy and free zones sectors. Likewise, he collaborated in the contractual structure of securitization of assets. He has been consultant for legal drafts and administrative regulations. Also, in terms of public procurement, he has led work teams in international public tenders for various projects and has also been a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the World Bank for issues related to public procurement and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). In terms of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and infrastructure projects, he has provided advice on the development of private and public initiative projects.

In arbitration, he has represented national and international companies in institutional arbitrations at the Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CRC) involving claims of US$8 million dollars.

In administrative litigation, he exercises in contentious administrative appeals against acts and actions of the Public Administration. He has successfully defended the Administration in the first litigious case in the Dominican Republic on unfair trade practices and safeguard measures, as well as the first action to revoke a favorable decision from the Public Administration.
