One of Takashi’s main practice areas is international trade law including government procurement, export control, national security, sanctions, SPS, TBT, customs and other relevant practices to trade.
After graduating from the University of Tokyo (Law Department), he worked for the Japanese Government for 5 years. Then he went on to become a lawyer and began working at Nishimura and Asahi. From June 2021, he joined Atsumi & Sakai.
In regard to government procurement matters, he has represented foreign entity in regard to complaint in government procurement cases., in addition to provide legal advinces.
Also he is particularly experienced in trade remedy matters. For anti-dumping cases in Japan, he has represented foreign manufacturers in almost all the cases. He is the most experienced lawyer on the respondent side in Japanese trade remedy cases.
