The founder, Teshome Gabre-Mariam Bokan, started his legal career as the Legal Advisor of Ethiopian Air Lines. He has also served as the Attorney General and Minister of State at the Ministry of Mines and energy in the government of Ethiopia. In the public sector, he has advised the United Nations on matters pertaining to the revitalization of the mining industry of many African nations. Part of the services included the drafting of new mining and investment codes. He also represents large mining companies in connection with various major projects.
