Katrien Serrien has developed great expertise in debt recovery and leads a team dedicated to the follow-up of recovery cases within the firm. She focuses on the new procedures now in place (the Belgian procedure for recovery of uncontested monetary debts, the European Order for Payment Procedure, and the European Small Claims Procedure.
Katrien has also acquired extensive experience in the law of seizures and in insolvency law. Her practice also includes general commercial law, and she regularly acts in judicial reorganisation and bankruptcy cases.
Katrien Serrien has also expertise in collective settlement of debts and has been entrusted with more than 150 judicial mandates as a mediator of debts by the Dutch-speaking and French-speaking Brussels Labour courts.
