Andrew is widely regarded as the go-to lawyer in Canada for asset protection matters.

His years of experience in the Caribbean and Channel Islands and continuing contacts and up-to-date knowledge of the offshore world; combined with his regular visits to Dubai where he has a large client base, make him particularly well positioned to advise HNWI and UHNWI clients in this area.

Andrew is widely published, frequently interviewed and quoted in the media and lectures to the profession.

Andrew leads a team of 10 lawyers based in Bay Street, Toronto, which is Canada’s financial core. His day-to-day practice largely consists of advising on and creating asset protection structures – offshore and onshore. He also appears as trial and appellate counsel in related estate litigation matters.

Called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1981, Andrew served his pupilage in the Chambers of Michael Crystal QC, 3-4 South Square, Gray’s Inn, London. Andrew has practiced over the last 37 years, at the Bar in London, England; in South Africa, Australia, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Jersey and in Canada. He brings a valuable cross-border, multi-jurisdictional perspective. His experience is in private practice and in-house; in banks and offshore trust companies, in offshore finance centres (formerly known as tax havens).
